When asked about the function of education, Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver once said, “Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character — that is the goal of a true education.” We at Beth Israel strongly believe in that idea and have created a dynamic youth and adult education program that both broadens our congregation’s Jewish knowledge base and helps shape the Jews they want to become. We strive to create an education program that, whether 8 years old or 80 years old, enables our congregants to fulfill the mitzvah of lifelong learning.
